Do you have a shop I can visit?
Brisbane Costumes is an online retail shop. Unfortunately we do not have facilities for you to browse or to try on costumes at our physical locations.
Purchases can be made simply and securely using an existing or new Paypal account. If you do not have one, you can also use your Visa or Mastercard Debit card, or credit card. You do not need a Paypal account to pay via Credit or Debit card, simply select "Pay with a credit card or debit card and enter your details in"
Purchases can be made with credit card directly on our site. We do not collect or store credit card details.
Postage and Delivery Time
The majority of the items will be instock. If we happen to be out of stock of an item we will notify you via email within one Business Day.
The Customer must ensure that the Customer enters the correct delivery address as parcels which are returned to Brisbane Costumes as undeliverable may incur a re-despatch fee and will be sent back out as regular mail. Freight charges paid for the original dispatch are not refundable.
- Orders can not be sent to a PO Box address, it must be a residential or business address with business name included in order. You will be notified via email with your tracking number.
- The estimated delivery date depends on where the Customer lives, and is calculated from the time the Customer receives the 'Order Shipped' email, not from the time the order was placed.
The following are estimates only, and are based on information provided by couriers:
Express road service –
- 1 day to Brisbane, Ipswich, Toowoomba, Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast.
- 1-2 days to Sydney, Canberra, Wollongong, Central Coast, Newcastle, Port Macquarie, Coffs Harbour, Northern Rivers, Mackay, Capricorn Coast, Wide Bay.
- 2-3 days to Cairns, Townsville, Melbourne, Geelong, Albury and Bendigo.
- 3-7 days to Adelaide, Hobart and Launceston.
- 7-10 days to Perth and outside the above areas.
For deliveries outside the above areas we will use Australia Post.
The estimated delivery date depends on where the Customer lives, and is calculated from the time the Customer receives the 'Order Shipped' email and not from the time the Order was placed. The following are estimates only, and are based on information provided by Australia Post:
- Standard mail - 7 to 10 business days for metro areas
- Express post - 2 to 4 business days for metro areas
The Customer should allow for a further 3 business days (in addition to the above) for delivery to remote areas as an estimate only.
International Customs and Duty
International orders may be subject to local charges. Any customs or import duties and associated fees are charged once the parcel reaches its destination country. These charges must be paid by the recipient of the parcel. We have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Brisbane Costumes cannot be held responsible for any additional charges on your order, nor can we accept a return of the order in this case. Customs policies vary widely from country to country, so please contact your local customs office for further information. If you refuse to pay these charges your parcel may be abandoned, and Brisbane Costumes will not be held responsible for any loss of funds as a result of this occurrence or refund your purchase. We cannot mark international orders as a gift in order to bypass or reduce any customs fees. This is an illegal practice and as an established business we will not do this.

Returns & Replacements
Standard warranty period is 30 days for manufacturing faults.
We will happily offer replacement items (no refunds) if:
There is a manufacturing fault with the item, or
The wrong item was sent to you.
Please notify us as soon as possible if you believe there is an issue.
Incorrect Item Sent, or Faulty Item Sent
If you have received an incorrect item please contact us within 48 hours of receipt of the item to organise an replacement/or correct item.
Replacements are not given for damaged packaging, we can only replace goods that are faulty on arrival.
Return Of Unwanted Goods
If you decide that you don't want an item that you purchased, then you may return it subject to a few conditions:
Postage costs associated with the return of unwanted goods are the responsibility of the customer.
Goods must be returned unused, in the original packaging and in original condition.
Please note original shipping costs are not refundable. If the item is not returned in original condition no refund will be possible.
Due to the personal nature of many of our items we may not be able to accept an item for exchange if it has been worn, so please choose your product carefully!
